Historic houses of Tulsa

Tulsa, Oklahoma, the second largest city of Oklahoma and the 46^th largest in the USA has been the oil capital of the world for a great part of the 20^th century. This oil boom brought a lot of wealth and with that came some great architecture. The city has one of the biggest number of Art Deco structures in the country.

In the boom time, almost every oilman built a mansion in Tulsa, these days the oilmen and the oil industry has mostly moved out of Tulsa, but thanks to the Tulsa Historical Society, most of these houses are well preserved.

Most of these houses were built in early1900s.

Can it get any better than this?

While browsing I saw this picture and got smitten by it. The child is so peaceful and happy you can see the sparkle of joy in the eyes.

Do we need a lot of stuff to be happy? I don't think so, what do you think?

Pocket Squares

I hear pocket squares are back in “fashion”. I don’t know if it is good for the pocket square for fashion itself or for you and me. However if you are in market to buy pocket squares, you are in luck. There is a pocket square heaven out there. You have so much choice you will have hard time deciding which ones to buy and which ones to leave.

Demilune Tables

While looking for a demilune table I realized there was not much available if one wants to buy a new one. Through Istdibs, I discovered that in case of antique and vintage pieces it is the opposite. May be demilune tables have gone out of fashion therefore furniture companies are not making that many? Since I have not posted anything for more than a week, I will do this post on demilune tables and share some interesting specimens with my blog friends.
